Wellington Point is a quaint seaside village with a picturesque main street, waterside picnic areas and plenty of parklands.

As you drive through the main street of Wellington Point, the first thing you'll notice is a landmark reminiscent of many European villages - the Wellington Point Clock Tower. This feature of the main street was built in 1997, and donated to the community by Tanja's Café on their 25th anniversary.

The main street also has a number of outdoor cafés, wine bars and restaurants - perfect for a warm summer evening or sunny afternoon. At night the area becomes a hive of activity, with people travelling from far afield to enjoy the cuisine of the local eateries.

The Redlands Sporting Club is also situated at Wellington Point. It offers live entertainment on weekends, delicious food and a relaxed atmosphere, and is perfect for functions, birthday parties or a night out with friends.

While you're in Wellington Point, why not browse through the craft and gift shops? Many are supplied by craftspeople from the area, and stock a wide range of quality goods.

Wellington Point has long been a popular family picnic spot with the Wellington Point Reserve and Apex Park on Sturgeon Street -two great locations. Alternatively, you could spread out your rug and relax beneath a huge old banyan tree which provides cool shade on even the steamiest of summer days.

From the Point, the view is a panoramic expanse of Moreton Bay's islands and blue water.Wellington-Pt water On a clear day, the view to North Stradbroke and Moreton Islands makes you feel as if you are only a few steps away.

King Island, is a tiny conservation area attached to Wellington Point by a sand spit and people often walk out to the island at low tide. You can also walk along the shoreline and view the sub-tropical vegetation and tidal mangroves and you may even spot a dolphin or turtle.

The Point is a playground for those who love the water, offering visitors a fantastic place for swimming, fishing, boating and windsurfing. Whether you prefer to be on the water or in it there are plenty of activities to participate in. During the summer months, windsurfers are a common sight from Wellington Point and as they skip over the waves at top speed they offer a great form of free entertainment. For the more adventurous, you can even have a go yourself, with windsurfing equipment occasionally available for hire.
