Mount Cotton has a rich history and today offers many diverse attractions for visitors to enjoy, including an award winning winery, a rainforest garden and a unique commercial herb garden and café.

Although Mt Cotton is an area steeped in history, it has also become a force for today with a range of unique local attractions that are fast becoming known throughout the state.

Wine lovers take note - Mt Cotton’s premier winery has been winning awards all over Australia for its flavoursome, quality wines. The 560 acre site with breathtaking views across Moreton Bay combines a winery, tasting area and restaurant into a single complex that offers visitors a truly sublime leisure experience.

For a relaxing afternoon sojourn, the local rainforest gardens are also an absolute must. Visitors are treated to encounters with native animals; lush, green and peaceful rainforest surroundings; and views to the Gold Coast and Glasshouse Mountains on a clear day. Also equipped with wet weather facilities, the gardens are a perfect spot for special functions.

Venman’s Bushland, situated at the base of Mount Cotton, is another popular location. This pristine bushland was donated to the community by Jack Venman and is accessed via West Mount Cotton Road. Here you will find recreational walking trails, picnic tables, toilet facilities and BBQs.

For school and corporate groups, accommodation is available at the local Outdoor Education Centre with a range of activities which include high and low ropes, abseiling, canoeing and bushwalking.
